About Celebrate Recovery Again
About Celebrate Recovery Again
My years with Celebrate Recovery in the past, in large groups, small groups, step-studies, and related ministries were the most empowering, satisfying, life-changing years of my life! Like any program, the program only works if you work the program. I titled this "Celebrate Recovery AGAIN", because for a long period, I stopped working the program and I am renewing my recovery and celebration of life again.
Who is this for?
Upon publishing my first blog post, I asked a few friends that were familiar with Celebrate Recovery to tell me what they thought. The overwhelming response was, "This is going to help so many people! How do I share and subscribe to the updates?"
Of course, if you do want to subscribe and share my ramblings, I have provided a "subscribe" link at the top of every page, and there is a share icon to the right of each of the page titles.
As a person who struggles with codependency, this next part is hard for me to write. The reason for this blog really has no focus on getting anyone to Celebrate Recovery. It's not about the "likes" or "shares", because that is just what tickles that people-pleasing part of me.
I don't want to seem cold or selfish, but the purpose of this blog is solely to keep myself focussed on the things I have to work on as I go through the steps and processes of Celebrate Recovery. As I am writing each article, it's a bit of a covenant between me and God to work and understand the Biblical principles that leads to a more fulfilling, spiritual life for me.

I am not a therapist or teacher, so if I wrote for your healing my focus would not be on my own recovery - plus, I don't want to give you any false direction in your own path. Possibly, maintaining this authenticity may encourage you in your own path - but try to look at me as your roommate in the hospital recovery room. I cannot recover and listen to my doctor if I am overwhelmed by your condition.
